Channel: Deal site
Role: Writer
Key challenge
Writer of local daily deals and city savvy ‘best things to do’, for Scotland for Living Social (American coupon-based website service and fastest growing rival to Groupon). The challenge was to provide 130-word witty pieces rather than advetorials, with deals assigned at short notice requiring fast turnaround. It requires a sense of humour, attention to detail and ability to wax lyrical about everything from Brazilian hair removal techniques, cupcakes, zumba and everything in between; and a local insider’s knowlede of Edinburgh and Glasgow. The three ingredients for copy are: inform, entice and delight.
